Latham Hall

Tour End/Credits

Latham Hall, opened in 2006, houses four faculty (Beers, Tokuhisa, Veilleux and Zhou) in the Horticulture Department. With its state-of-the-art research facilities and interaction areas for faculty, students and staff representing 6 departments, it has rapidly become the hub of plant science research at Virginia Tech. In addition to modern labs and offices, the building houses plant growth facilities, a tissue culture suite, seed storage chamber and plant and soil analysis areas for processing field samples. Graduate students in the Molecular Plant Sciences program may opt to complete a lab rotation in any of the labs with space available. Undergraduate or graduate students may elect to work on research projects with faculty as independent studies.
