Study Abroad
Opportunities are available for students to spend a year, semester, or summer abroad. Some faculty have international contacts and exchange agreements have been made with a number of universities overseas. Your academic advisor may be able to put you in touch with a variety of programs. In addition, Virginia Tech’s Education Abroad Office can help students find the opportunities that suit their needs.
It is important to understand that agreements and procedures for all the universities we work with differ. Therefore each study abroad opportunity may be organized differently. It is highly recommended that you speak with your advisor, and the staff at Virginia Tech’ Education Abroad Office to learn about the best programs for you. Always plan early for study abroad (at least 9 months ahead) to avoid difficulties completing required coursework at Virginia Tech.
