How did you first find your interest in gardening?
"My mother was a great gardener, so I've always gardened."

What has been your greatest accomplishment as a Master Gardener?
"Handling the education for the interns, and also education for the state Master Gardeners."

What type of projects have you invested most of your time in?
"Education.Master Gardener training."

What year did you graduate from the Master Gardener training class?
"2000."

What is your favorite aspect of the Master Gardener program?
"The camaraderie. "

In what area of gardening would you say you're most experienced in?
"Probably perennials, I'd say. And shade plants."

What advice would you give to new gardeners?
"Come in with an open mind; learn all you can learn. Take all the education classes you can, and participate."

"I think everyone should become a Master Gardener. It's a great group of people and we all enjoy each other."
