"As a child, I grew up in northern Mississippi , and we had a large vegetable garden."

What has been your greatest accomplishment as a Master Gardener?
"I guess that I coordinate two gardens in Colonial Williamsburg, all staffed by Master Gardeners, and they are the only two gardens at Colonial Williamsburg that are staffed by Master Gardeners."

What type of projects have you invested most of your time in?
"That project. But coming in at a close second is the garden Barbara and I shared over at Eastern State Hospital , which is a large state mental hospital. What is your favorite aspect of the Master Gardener program?
"It might be the social aspect."

"Veggies."

What advice would you give to new gardeners?
"You should have lots of patience, and don't be afraid to ask questions."
