How did you first find your interest in gardening?
"I got that from my dad and from my uncles who were farmers."

What has been your greatest accomplishment as a Master Gardener?
"I guess probably being able to teach the classes, even in the Master Gardener training sessions."

What type of projects have you invested most of your time in?
"Being that I enjoy the whole gamma of Master Gardening, that's pretty hard. I guess green-line and teaching."

What year did you graduate from the Master Gardener training class?
"2001."

What is your favorite aspect of the Master Gardener program?
"The education part. Not only am I continuing to learn, through Master Gardener College , through the camaraderie of other Master Gardeners, but also sharing with the public."

In what area of gardening would you say you're most experienced in?
"Well, I like everything about gardening. But the areas I would probably enjoy or spend the most time in my yard are in my vegetable garden, flowers, annuals, perennials, shrubs."

What advice would you give to new gardeners?
"To new gardeners, as a group, I would say.study. There's constantly new research, constantly new information out there, and that would apply for the Master Gardener as well."

"It's a great organization. a great program, and I would encourage anyone who has an interest in gardening who wants to give something back to their community, it's the best program, because it's two things you love- your community and gardening."
